“The American Chestnut”
This program will give a brief history of chestnut trees and their demise due to an imported pathogen, and the restoration efforts that have been ongoing by different groups over the years, with updates on the back-cross breeding program as well as tentative efforts to create a chestnut food industry in Massachusetts.
