The Garden Club is deeply involved in the life of our local community. Here are a few of the many things we support:
Flower arranging for The Big H Arts Festival, an ongoing project of the Hampden Art Guild
Sponsor of the Hampden Farmer's Market
Planting pots at the entrance to Memorial Park
Planting pots at the flagpole at the intersection near the Hampden Mini-Mall
Plantings around the gazebo at the Thornton W. Burgess Middle School
The courtyards at the Thornton W. Burgess Middle School
Flowers in front of the Hampden Town Hall
A yearly scholarship at Minnechaug Regional High School
Fall planting of hundreds of daffodil bulbs each year
Donation and replacements of street trees
Invasives training and removal on conservation areas
Butterfly garden at Laughing Brook wildlife sanctuary (now gone)
